Our Luxury Tour of Bhutan takes you on an unforgettable journey through picturesque western Bhutan, home to the country's capital, impressive monastery-fortresses and cultural sights such as the Taktsang 'Tiger's Nest' Monastery. We will explore off-the-beaten-track villages and attend impressive Buddhist festivals at Paro Dzong in the spring and Thimphu Dzong in the autumn. These are two of the most important events of the year and are never to be forgotten experiences.

We will stay at exclusive and luxury hotels in Paro and Thimphu including the stylish converted nobleman’s house, Uma Paro. Tastefully designed and traditionally furnished, these properties provide a level of sophisticated refinement that will add that extra pizazz to your stay.

While in Kathmandu we stay at the delightful Dwarika’s hotel whilst we explore this ancient city and take a special flight into the high Himalaya for a close-up look at Everest.

Day 1-2: Arrive in Kathmandu. Explore this fascinating city with a sightseeing tour
Day 3-4: Fly to Paro. Sightseeing in the Paro Valley, visit the Paro Tsechu Festival
Day 5: Walk to Dzong Drakha temple. Drive to Thimphu
Day 6-7: Sightseeing in Thimphu and visit Cheri Gompa. Drive to Punakha
Day 8: Drive to Samtengang and visit the ‘Last Man Standing’ villages. Drive to Thimphu.
Day 9: Drive to Paro and visit the famous Tigers Nest, Taksang Monastery. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 10: Fly to Kathmandu. Visit the UNESCO world heritage site of Bhaktapur.
Day 11: Take an early morning mountain flight to view Mt. Everest. Depart for home country.
