On this wildlife and bird watching tour, you will spend three nights and four days in Bardia National Park - Nepal's largest national park and wilderness area in the Terai offering excellent wildlife and bird watching opportunities.

Formerly a royal hunting reserve, Bardia National Park now protects 968 sq km of sal forest (Shorea Robusta) and grassland. Together with the new 550 sq km Banke National Park, Bardia protects one of Asia’s largest stretches of the Bengal Tiger habitat. Conservation efforts have resulted in healthy populations of other endangered animals such as wild elephants, one-horned rhinos and swamp deer, which are among the 50 species of mammals living here. The Park also has more than 250 species of birds, including the endangered Bengal florican and sarus crane. Gharial and marsh mugger crocodiles and Gangetic dolphins are occasionally spotted on rafting and canoe trips along the Geruwa River, the eastern channel of the Karnali River.
