Images of India and Nepal is a taster tour that showcases some of the best sights in these neighbouring countries. Start in Nepal with tours of stunning palaces, ancient temples and Buddhist pagodas of the Kathmandu Valley, and safari on jeep and on foot in the jungles and tall grasslands of Chitwan. View the breathtaking Himalayan panorama from Pokhara with an opportunity to take a once in a life-time flight past the World’s highest peak, Mt Everest. 

Journey onward to Delhi, India by air and experience the impressive Golden Triangle circuit comprising the stately cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. See Lutyen’s New Delhi and experience the hustle and bustle of the Old City. In Agra, admire one of the most iconic and beautiful buildings in the world, the Taj Mahal, and the equally interesting Agra Fort. Next the pink city of Jaipur awaits and invites you to visit its historic forts, sprawling palaces and colourful bazaars.

Day 1: On arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, which is close to atmospheric Thamel, for two nights. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 2: A full day’s sightseeing of Kathmandu city includes the impressive Buddhist Stupa of Swayambhunath and the renowned Durbar Square. Round off the day with an excursion to the ancient and beautifully crafted Newari city of Bhaktapur.
Day 3: You have the option (at a supplementary cost) of an early morning flight to view the world’s highest mountain peaks, including Mt. Everest. Take a short flight to Bharatpur and then transfer to the jungle lodge near Chitwan National Park.
Day 4: A full day of jungle activities including an elephant safari, canoe ride and nature walk.
Day 5: Drive to the valley of Pokhara, which cradles the tranquil Phewa Lake and is shadowed by the towering Annapurna Range. You may enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the lake in the evening and eat at one of many fine, lakeside restaurants.
Day 6: Before the break of dawn, drive to Sarankot for a breathtaking view of sunrise over the mighty Himalayan peaks. The remainder of the day is at leisure. You may take advantage of the many short trekking routes in the area offering stunning views of the Him
Day 7: Take a mid morning flight back to Kathmandu. In the afternoon, visit the religious sites of Pashupatinath and Boudhanath . Farewell dinner arranged in the evening.
Day 8: Fly to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi transfer to hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure, with a welcome dinner at a local restaurant in the evening.
Day 9: Start the tour with a cycle rickshaw tour of Old Delhi in the morning. Visit the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, and the Raj Ghat, a memorial built for Mahatma Gandhi. In the afternoon, visit the tomb of Humayun and the lofty Qutb Minar.
Day 10: Drive to Agra (4-5 hours). Visit the impressive AgraFort followed by a visit to the ornate tomb of Itamud-ud-Daula. Enjoy a visit to the Taj Mahal at sunset to marvel at one of the World’s great monuments in a glow of pink and yellow hues.
Day 11: Drive to Jaipur (6-7 hours) with an en route stop at Fatehpur Sikri , the red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar that was abandoned after just 14 years. Closer to Jaipur, stop to see the impressive 9th Century Chand Baori step well at Abhaneri.
Day 12: Visit the 17th century hilltop Amber Fort, the sparkling Mirror Palace, the City Palace complex including its museum and the 18th century Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory and Hawa Mahal, one of the most famous buildings in Jaipur.
Day 13: Morning at leisure. Drive to Delhi in the afternoon.
Day 14: Fly back home.
