Description

Enjoy soaring peaks, rhododendron forests, and Tamang villages on this scenic trek.

Our trek starts from DhadingBesi Bazaar as we walk eastward between Langtang and Annapurna Himalayan ranges. The first village on the route, Borang, is home to Tamang people with their distinct dialect, culture and traditions. As we trek uphill towards our high point, Pangsang Pass (3,842m/ft), we pass through unexplored valleys set ablaze by yellow blossoms of double Jasmine, rhododendron, Spanish Oak, and blue pine forests, and a number of passes with time to acclimatize and explore the attractive villages en route. The views of soaring peaks such as GaneshHimal II and IV, Langtang Li Rung and Paldor is simply breathtaking. Enjoy soaring peaks, rhododendron forests, and Tamang villages on this scenic trek.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu. Visit the Monkey Temple in the evening.
Day 2: Your road journey to DhadingBesi, the starting point of the trek, starts early in the morning (3 hr drive). After a short rest, you will trek to Darkha village (850 m/2,789 ft) enjoying breathtaking views of Annapurna, Manaslu, and GaneshHimal mountain ra
Day 3: Trek to Borang (1,700 m/5,578 ft), a traditional village mostly inhabited by the Tamang people. You will pass through Bhogteni village, paddy terraces, green forests, and the hot spring at Jharlang on the way.
Day 4-5: Continue the trek, reaching Chalish Village (1,674 m/5,492 ft) inhabited by Gurung, Ghale and Kami people.Spend the afternoon exploring the village and enjoying its natural beauty. Visit Tatopani the following day for a relaxing hot springs bath.
Day 6: Trek uphill towards Lapdung (2,078 m/6,818 ft), another Tamang village.
Day 7: Continue trekking uphill through forests of rhododendron and pine to reach Pangsang Pass (3,842 m/12,605 ft). Take in breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges before walking downhill to Somdang village where you will stop for the night.
Day 8: Trek uphill to Yuri Kharka where you will stop for lunch. Then, walk downhill to Gatlang( 2,337 m/7,667 ft ). On the way, visit ParvatiKunda, a sacred lake and a popular pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists.
Day 9: Trek from Gatlang to BahunDanda via Chawatar. After a downhill walk arrive in SyabruBesi (1,503 m/4,931 ft) where you will spend the night.
Day 10-11: Drive back to Kathmandu. Time for sightseeing and souvenir shopping.
Day 12: International departures.
