Description

Follow in the footsteps of the great mountaineers for an opportunity to stand in the shadow of the tallest mountain in the world.

This classic Everest Base Camp Trek is a once in a lifetime opportunity to stand in the shadow of the tallest mountain in the world. It combines an outstanding trek through untouched wilderness with a gradual ascent, allowing you to fully acclimatize to the altitude while trekking to Everest Base Camp.

The trek begins with a walking tour of Kathmandu before the spectacular flight to Lukla. The trail gradually leads us up from the sparkling waters of the Dudh Khosi River, through the heart of Sherpa country to the dramatic high mountain scenery beyond. We trek on paths away from the main trail and visit welcoming villages, including Namche Bazaar. After being well acclimatized, we follow in the footsteps of the great mountaineers and trek to Everest Base Camp where we may see Everest expeditions during the spring climbing season. The next day we ascend nearby Kala Pattar, 5,545m/18,192ft, for superb views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Makalu.  All of our treks to Everest Base Camp offer the full tea house trek service, with a first rate trek leader, excellent acclimatization and success rates.
