Your journey of discovery starts in Kathmandu where you will walk through medieval palace squares and ancient alleyways that are dotted with centuries-old temples and monuments. Our engaging tour leader will show you more of the history, culture and heritage of Nepal.
Your next stop will be Pokhara, a picturesque lake city in the lap of the Annapurna Himalayan range and a 25 minute plane ride away from Kathmandu. From Pokhara, you will trek for three days in the foothills of the Annapurna mountains enjoying classic mountain scenery, passing through charming rural villages and staying in mountain lodges. The last leg of the journey takes you to Chitwan National Park, a wildlife sanctuary in the southern plains. Here you will venture into the jungles in search of one-horned rhinoceros and the elusive Bengal Tiger.

Day 2: | Get an inside look into Kathmandu valleys interesting history, ancient traditions and diverse cultures on guided walking tours of Kathmandu Durbar Sqaure and Patan. Climb 365 stone steps alongside local pilgrims to reach the Monkey Temple complex. Meals B |
Day 3: | Fly to Pokhara - a picturesque city nestled in the foothills of the Annapurna mountains. Drive to Begnas Lake and take a paddle boat across the lake for a short hike to Sundari Danda for beautiful views of the Annapurna Himalayan range. Meals B |
Day 4: | Drive to three-day trek start point and walk to the peaceful Sanctuary Lodge situated in Modi River valley. Enjoy magnificent views of the sacred and unclimbed Fishtail Mountain, or Machhapuchhre, as it is locally known. Meals B |
Day 5: | Leave the river valley and start hiking up towards the bustling Gurung village of Ghandruk (6,600ft/2,000m). The trail passes through small hamlets, terraced rice fields and forests with spectacular views of the surrounding valley. Meals B |
Day 6: | After enjoying beautiful views of sunrise, hike down to the road head and drive back to Pokhara. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore lakeside Pokhara. Meals B |
Day 7: | Drive to the medieval Newari town of Bandipur for an overnight stay. Established as a trading hub on the Indo-Tibet road, the town is known for its rustic charm and beautiful views of the Himalayas. Meals B |
Day 8: | Leave the hills and valleys and drive south towards your jungle lodge in close proximity to Chitwan National Park. In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on a dug-out canoe on the Rapti river. Meals B+L+D |
Day 9: | Venture deep into Chitwan National Park on a 4x4 jeep for game viewing. After lunch, cool off by the river as your watch elephants bathing. Enjoy traditional dances and songs presented by the indigenous Tharu community. Meals B+L+D |
Day 10: | Enjoy an early bird watching walk before transferring to Bharatpur airport for flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to Bhadgaon, one of three medieval kingdoms of Nepal, for an overnight stay at a heritage hotel. Meals B |
